Just recently purchased a Forest River Rockwood 2010 HW256. Where is the switch for the water pump? Went camping Memorial Day weekend and was not able to pump water into the unit to wash dishes or take a shower. I am also confused about when the pump is to be used. Is it only for pumping water from the holding tank for potable water? Where is opening to drain water from the holding tank?
I'm not an owner, I have an A-Frame,. But I would look for a switch somewhere near the sink, it may be in a cabinet. Water in the freshwater tank then turn on the pump. You also need water in the hot water heater before using it. The freshwater tank drain is normally on the tank, on the same side as the fill inlet. The "City Water" connection does not fill the freshwater tank.
I have a Mac but my pump is under an access panel under the sink. Be aware there is a small filter on that line that needs to be winterized. If you are hooked to a water supply no pump needed. My pump switch is near the floor by the sink. To drain the tank there is a release valve under the camper on the tank. Keep your weight down and it empty unless needed
The switch is located at the dining area on the seat that has its back to the sink, You use that pump when you are not hooked up to a external water supply , it will pump from your fresh water tank as long as it has water in it. If you wish to drain your fresh water tank there is a valve on the bottom of the tank, same side as your hook ups, you will have to nearly craw under to see it because its behind a metal guard.
