Manual crank not working

Hello I have a 2010 206LTD MAC with electric winch to raise my pup. Awesome however on the event I need to manually raise it I cannot use the included tool to raise it manually. You know in case my battery died or the winch no longer works. In the photo I thought removing the plastic cap would expose the hardware to raise it. Tried. A lot of grease. No action. Okay sounds weird but how do I raise this pup roof manually. I'm stumped. Thank you in advance. Click image for larger version

Inside all that grease should be a slot for your tool to fit in,let u know it will take awhile to raise or lower

Make sure to start the cranking with a hand tool, but once it is known to be free, you can use a drill. If you try it by hand it will take forever due to the gear reduction for the power unit.

Also remember if the battery is dead...just use some jumper cables and hook to your tow vehicle battery and it will power it right up!

Other than that, the nut head is in the middle of that blob of grease and you have to turn it about 30 times just to go up an inch or so....a power drill is very nice for that task...

I removed my power winch and put in a hand crank and do not miss it at all...
