We got a Queen sized memory foam topper at Wally-world; really improved the quality of sleep in the trailer.

I think was about a $200 cdn investment, and worth every penny...

We also use the memory foam topper from Walmart. It's best to let them air out for week before you put them on the bed though.

Add to this story a one degree drop in temperature and then she froze to death all night! Then you have my princess.

When we had our pup, we had 2" topper that we trimmed down. Worked great with the heated mattresses. Only problem was closing up the top also but if we didn't lock the door to the roof it was fine.

I purchased a 1 1/2 inch topper, I place it on the couch and dinette when ready to tear down camp. The topper was to thick for lid to shut with out forcing it down to lock. Plus the weight of topper is over the axel and not adding to on tongue weight. Still have room to store flat items between other bunk and topper.

Thanks for the information on using the topper with a heated mattress. We used two on our Prowler the whole time we owned it. It does make a world of difference. We used a one inch and that was enough to make the mattress very comfortable. The nice thing about the one inch is that it folds easily, if there is a problem closing the trailer they can be folded and placed on the floor. Had a queen for the bed and a twin for the convertible sofa. They will now go into our HW.

We purchased 2 3 inch memory foam toppers from Amazon (Cloud 9) branded and really love them. One word of caution would be whether you can easily close and lock up the pup with them in place.......not an easy thing with our 2514G. I finally figured out that if I fold up the queen size and store it under the dinette and then after I have pushed in the ends pull the king size to the center of the coach so it spans both bunks that I can much close and lock the top much easier. Seems that our old Viking had alot more head room after closing than the new one does....lol

As far as comfort goes, they are fantastic. The coach already has a decent innerspring mattress in it but now is almost like home! I like mine a bit firmer so I purchased a level 4.3 and the other half like it softer so a level 4.2. We don't sleep together when camping because our huskies like to bunk with us as well and even in the king there is crowding going on with all of us...

I'd be apt to consider replacement foam for the mattresses before adding a topper. Measure to see how much height you have, but a higher density foam would still be comfortable yet would be easier on the body.

I replaced the mfg crummy mattress with a ten inch memory foam mattress. From Walmart. DW loves it.

Ended up getting a Simmons 3" gel memory foam topper through Amazon. It feels great, but I did not consider the size when folding the thing. Its very bulky. Guess I will get some some sort of straps for it once it is rolled.

Ok so we are getting a new 2306 rockwood this Friday and we want to purchase a 10" memory foam mattress for out Murphy bed. But we aren't sure if the heating part would still work. Any insite?

Our heated mattress never seemed to get very warm, I am not sure you would feel it with a 10" pad, we bought an electric blanket and it warms the bed up very nicely.

The heated mattress is only about 150 watts (about the output of a large light bulb). It doesn't "get hot" like an electric blanket. It mainly keeps the chill out. It works very well at that in hybrids. We used it in our Roo all the time. We have not camped in cold weather yet with our Mini Lite. Our pass-through/folded down sofa is under our mattress. Not QUITE the same as full outside air like in a hybrid, but somewhat better. So I can't yet comment on it's use in a Mini/Micro Lite.

It's inside the bottom of the mattress. It's not something you can "see." If you didn't have the electrical connection, I don't think you'd ever know it was there.

So it sounds like I should stick with a 4"memory foam topper than replacing the whole thing with 10". I know my back won't handle just that mattress. But living in south texas I'm not sure we would ever need to use the heat..lol
