It was in the 50's over the weekend. Almost broke out the tent. I bought an end of season sale Coleman 6 person Insta-Tent to go with my 4 person one, and wanted to try it out. Sleety rain was forecast this week, so didn't do it.

Bought the same Coleman tent and looking forward to letting the boys try it out for our New Year's Eve trip...the joys of living in FL!! Downside is going to be in the 80's for Christmas!

Could be mid 60's here on Christmas and less than an inch of snow this season, but camper is covered and out of action. We've taken advantage of the el nino weather to visit some NYS parks - checking out future camp sites. Also spending time making camping reservations for next year (35 nights and growing). Dreaming of April.

Ground is so soggy from rain that we can't take advantage of the unseasonable warm weather to take out the TT. So, really the tent is the best option right now.

Well after this weekend I am really missing camping. Lubbock, TX received 11 inches of snow on Sunday. Finally got dug out and got 2 feet of drifted snow of the roof of camper. Town has been pretty much shut down due to roads and no snow removal equipment in this part of Texas. April can not get here fast enough.

Just made reservations for Garner State Park for April 14 thru 18th, can't get here soon enough. Can't wait until it warms up to raise camper so I can get it ready.

7 months before I retired I moved SOUTH away from that stuff. I may need to blow out the lines a couple times a year if caught but if a 2 or 3 day cold snap is coming it is just as easy to hook up and go farther south. Will be in FL from tomorrow until mid-Feb
