New step install
Not gonna lie....but my factory entry steps suck. Every time I had to go in/out of the camper they twisted and flexed so bad all I could think was "this...this is how I end"
They were not good from the day I bought it, and for this season of camping.....the wifey gave me "ok honey....do what you do....." So I ordered up a new set of MORryde detachable/adjustable steps.
Got them installed tonight 😁
Not difficult, a slight bracket mod due to the frame being about 2" too short on the wheel well side to get them centered, but overall they work really good

Nice, so these steps don’t flip up into the doorway behind the door?

Unfortunately no. The camper door is too narrow and too short. For me this isn't an issue as I have a TH off-road model so I have an 8ft open deck to tie them too in transport.
They have a quick release button that you press to install/remove on the brackets you mount to the frame under the door.
Hope this helps.

Hi cupsz71
I'm loving your steps that you have installed, what a great job! I'm looking at options on replacing my steps on my 2018 HW27KS and this set up would work for me. I've looked at the MORryde website but don't see any prices listed. Would you mind sharing where you purchased yours and how much they were please? The installation looks super easy

NP!
I searched quite a bit on-line to find the best price/shipping options and found that PPL Motor Homes in Texas had the best combo.
$253.13 - price
$9.99 shipping & handling
$14.48 taxes
S0 $277.00 out the door & got it in less than 7 days.
They impressed me. Emailed actual invoice and shipping info w/tracking
Hope this helps! Good luck

That's great, thanks! Good price too. I had a quote from Forest River for replacement step/door and they quoted $600 without shipping!! So your door beats them hands down. Thanks again

@cupsz71 I have another question for you about the installation of the brackets. The frame they go into is a C channel and open behind. What fasteners are the brackets attached with, is it a bolt & nut? Many thanks

They are self just simple screws. I drilled and used bolts with lock washers.
My frame is easy to access so I went what I felt was a more secure option.

You can get a great step, many varieties, directly from Torklift.

@ cupsz71 - I was just about to order my steps last night then I thought I'd better check one more thing! Would you happen to know or are you able to measure please, the distance from the threshold to the first step? No worries if you can't, I was just curious on the drop.
Many thanks

Just took a measurement. Came up with right around 10 1/2 - 11" drop from the trailer threshold, to the first step. Pretty much matches the factory steps. (Still on camper)
Hope this helps
