Outside gas grill will not light
I have a 2018 Rockwood Premier 2516g and want to use the gas grill outside. We have done this many times. I have gas to the water heater and inside stove. I have the gas line valve open and the igniter sparks, but I get no flame.
I don't hear or smell gas at the outside grill. Any ideas how I can fix the problem? Thanks.

Can it be lit with a butane lighter? Have you cleaned the burner/igniter area.....

Everything under the splatter shield is clean and looks normal. I tried to light with a fireplace match. No luck.

I had the same problem with mine.
Turned out someone had pulled the hose out too far and caused a kink under the TT where the BBQ hose was attached to the main hose.
Unkinked and have been doing fine since.

Could your quick connect at the TT be shut off (accidentally or otherwise)?

If you smell no gas, then have you checked for mud dauber nest in the inlet of the grill? I cut wire coat hanger may help. I just last month had to clean an unused propane stove's inlet... those little bugs get into any little crevice...
if you have a short piece of hose to blow with you mouth or a compressor and a blow tip, blow through the inlet of the grill... it should be easy to get air out of the burner... if it is stopped up nothing will come out...

I agree with everyone! I once forgot about the little shut off valve on the rv disconnect and had forgotten to turn it back on. Also be sure propane tank is on and has fuel !

Was/is the tt new and did the grill come with it or is this something you ''kluged'' together. The male quick fitting has a sleeve on the id or a counter bore @ .170-.200'' that depresses a valve in the female quick disconnect and allows the gas to flow once connected and ball valve is on. Does that sound like what you're looking at? When I did my weber q conversion, the mr heater pigtail I bought at cw, gave me this issue. It's a double safety for your benefit

Thank you all for suggestions. There is no kink in the gas line and no obstruction that I can find. I have concluded that it must be a bad control valve. Thanks for your input.

It's been mentioned before but I'll ask again, is the quick connect valve open?

Yes, thanks for checking on that detail. The quick connect valve is open. Still no gas flowing. Stove inside and water heater working fine.

I have the same issue with my 2016 2516g and have not been able to figure it out either. If you resolve the issue please update the post.
Thanks and good luck!

When I had the issue with a kinked hose I removed the quick disconnect "nipple" from the control valve, inserted it in the connector, then turned on the valve. In my case I got no gas so I knew I had a problem between the point it connected to the main gas line and the open end. I even opened the valve and depressed the valve stem in the coupler with no gas.
If one does this and gets gas from the line when the valve is opened, then look inside the control valve inlet to see if there is some teflon tape or pipe sealer lodged in the orifice.
Removing the control valve and blowing air in reverse through it with valve set to high should clear any blockage. These valves are pretty simple so it should be able to be cleared out fairly easily if that's where the gas stops.

Problem with gas grill not lighting was the control valve on the gas grill.
