Parasitic Draw - 2280BHESP

Hey Guys!

Sometimes my 2018 2280BHESP has a small spark when I connect the battery, indicating a draw. When measured it looks like I'm drawing just over 350mA. I've narrowed the draw down to circuits 2 and 3, which seem to run quite a few systems.

Is this draw normal? Should I keep pushing and test further? Are there common items or issues I should check for etc?

I always have a spark as there's always a draw. Had this with all 5 campers I've owned.

The converter will start charging the battery as soon as you plug it in which is 1 draw. The 2nd draw will be the propane detector. The 3rd draw will be the stereo. There could be other draws as well from other accessories. My travel trailer had an antenna booster for the TV that was yet another draw.

The biggest is the battery charger though.

If it's only 350mA, that's very small as I would think it would be more for the charger but if the battery is fully charged, constantly, maybe not.

Thanks for the help!!

The battery was/is fully charged, I keep it on the bench when not using the trailer, was showing 12.7v. The trailer was not plugged into AC, measurements were "dry" as she sits in the driveway. With that said the power converter shouldn't be doing anything right? I have no inverter either

Sounds like this is somewhat normal? I just know that I had a 200mA on my car once and it wouldn't last more than a day or so before the battery was toast.

When camping it doesn't appear to work through the battery faster than it should, I was just thinking maybe I could save a little juice lols.

It could be the radio, it is common for the radios they install to have a station memory that requires power to keep the station memory

the CO detector is usually the draw on the battery. and once the battery gets low enough - that detector will start singing - (it lets you know about low power). I found this out when i was outside the house one day and heard this high pitched squeal coming from the camper....... yeah - stupid dealer never told me about it during the PDI. after that i always disconnected the battery or plugged the camper into shore power.
