Plastic clips begone!!!

Am I the only person who has had trouble with the plastic clips on bunk lights? We have broken most of our clips and it is difficult to keep the lights on the bars without them.

I just finished replacing each of them with strips of 3/4 inch Velcro One Wrap tape. I think that will be a much better solution.

If your lights are like mine, the plastic cover on the bunk light pops off. You can then remove the four screws holding the base, then you can get access to the clips.

For the light/fan combo, the top clip has a bolt and nut, the rest are screws.

Just cut lengths 4-6 inches, drill a 1/8 inch hole (larger for the top clip on the fan/light combo) and screw them in place.

Ha it happened to you too? Every single one of my clips has broken on my bunk/fan light. I found an older bunk/fan from a previous p-up that didn't work with my newer pop-up and took the clips from there, it seemed a softer plastic that wasn't brittle like the newer clips. The velcro idea is a good one tho, I will try that if this set of clips fail.

I got some of these but I haven’t tried them yet. I do have a concern that they will scratch and mar the white poles though...

has not been an issue for me yet, and i use the bunk fan/light all the time - but i bet a bit of duct tape would prevent it.

Search amazon for 1" pipe spring clamps and there are some steel ones. I will be ordering those to replace the 2 broken ones we have from the first trip.
