because not all ports are wired the same. 1 brand likes to wire theirs in opposite polarity to try and "force" you to buy their panel kits.

Here is a couple videos for you to watch that explains how easy it is to get reverse polarity with SAE connectors.

Absolutely true (see my previous post) as I tried plugging my Renogy solar suitcase into the port on the side and it didn't work. So, I removed the port, reversed the wires, screwed it back to the side of the trailer, and now it works perfectly with zero problems

For those who are aware of the issue but lack your skills, a $3 adapter purchased online makes it usable.

Yes, I first used an adapter I got on Amazon before reversing my wiring connection. The reason I stopped using the adapter is that I noticed it started to "bulge" at the connection point. It got so hot that I could not hold onto it while connected to my trailer. Although my solar panels were charging with no apparent problem using the adapter, I got rid of it for fear of the thing causing an electrical fire.

I haven't had a single problem with bulging connectors or heat since I reversed polarity on the wiring at the trailer.

Glad I caught the problem early and, fortunately for me, was not away from my trailer at the time.
