Pop up camper gear needed

Somehow gear stripped on my pop up motor . I have tried the ecarefree site listed near motor but it will not work. Anybody know where I can source the part? Also how does one go about removing the backup nut on the spindle to fully remove the gear? Hoping for some help. Thanks I’m advance.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your question answered. It would help greatly if you listed the year model and make of your rig. We have a very knowledgable group of RVers with pop ups that can answer most questions good luck, great pics.

Nut looks splined and crimped like it’s the manual override. Don’t think it’s coming off.

Looks like the motor and its gear are sold as an assembly. The Large gear is separately available.

The parts list is here.

If the pinion gear on the motor is still good and it appears to be, just unbolt the motor and you will not have to remove the pinion gear nut. Sorry, can't help on how to order the broken gear.

Very helpful thanks to everyone. It is the manual override nut so I doubt that is coming off. I will do the suggested unbolt motor and jimmy in. Thanks a ton guys will touch base when I get her going.

The nut comes off, mine has a c-clip over it to prevent it coming off when using the manual open method. You will need something like vice grips on the motor shaft to keep it from spinning. Whatever you do, don't bite the teeth on the motor shaft with a tool or they will break off.
