Propane level

Has anyone installed those propane level readers on your propane tanks? Im looking at one that mounts to the bottom of the tanks. It has a reader you mount inside the camper and you can also download an app on your phone.

It's likely the Mopeka one. I love mine.

I have the mopeka ones but don't use the hard wired reader, I use my smart phone app. Works really well. Actually thinking of getting a third sensor for the BBQ at home.

If you're referring to these https://tweetys.com/tank-check-024-1...echnology.aspx they work well, but eat through the batteries pretty quickly, and its not easy to get the units open to replace them.

For the OP, small correction, there is no hard wired reader. The reader unit you can get(depending on what package you buy) to mount inside, also does so wireless.

My mistake, I was under the wrong impression the monitor had to be wired to power.

Define eats through batteries quickly? Have had mine since early April and battery check still shows almost "full".

In my experience they last about 4 months. I was hoping for more like a year.

Works great, bought the kit with two sensors and remote reader, put that in the TT by the control panel. Screen shot of the app on my phone, liked them so much bought another one for my grill.
Just note the instructions say to press the Sync button 5 times but found on the Mopeka site to activate the sensor press sync button 6 times, found that what worked for mine.Click image for larger version

I got the Mopeka for my TT tanks and grill, then bought them for my sister, brother and father's grills. Dad is 88 so I got the monitor for him, just push the button.

I think (???) I bought mine at Dyers.

I also bought, on a whim, two of those LP tank donut thingies. Can't remember the name. They raised the tanks up enough for this to work great. I stopped even looking at the monitor thingy, I just shelved it. The app is way better, more accurate, and is settable for 20 or 30 lb tanks.
