Question regarding Lift on Rockwood Freedom 2280

I have recently purchased a 2010 Rockwood Freedom, and love it. Been out 2 times already and now have a nice week vacation planned later this year in it at the beach.

I have a question about the lift system if anyone has one of these, I watched Youtube on setup and they had a power lift like I do, I can't recall the year they were demo-ing but they showed a "tension wire" , and on a few others they also showed a tension wire , which is show the correct height to lift the roof, Well mine does not have that, but the wench does stop on its own at the top, so my question is does this camper supposed to have the wire or is it designed to work without and the wench is set to stop at the correct height on its own?

The electric lift has a limit switch inside which has been previously set to the correct height (Adjustable). The cable is to prevent the over raising off the roof if not set to height. The ones I’ve seen aren’t attached very well and they fall out as yours probably did at one time. I have a 2018 and my is already gone. Shouldn’t need it in the future if your roof is hitting the right height. They were used mainly when hand cranking the roof up to have a reference.
