I have some of the material from the tent manufacturer for F.R. I have a darker brown and a beige. I could spare an 8 inch square. I also have the original thread on a LARGE spool for their industrial machines. They wouldn't sell me less.
My suggestion would be to fashion a patch that is about 1 to 1.5 inches larger than the rip. It would need to be a little larger than that because you would need to fold the edges back under a little bit so they don't unravel and trim the corner so it doesn't bunch up and will lay flat but is also at least slightly folded under. That means its not perfectly square if your trying to picture what I mean.
You can use one of these to manually push the factory thread through, practice on something else first if you have never done this there is a little learning curve:

If you could get it under that top seam you wouldn't need to fold that edge and I would say that would be the best but given that the bunk ends angle outward I wouldn't be too worried about water coming in unless your in a sideways rainstorm. When putting it on you could use a good silicone adhesive to better seal it.
I had thought about gluing it on with adhesive when I patched mine but with all the folding and moving I was concerned it wouldn't stay.
If your interested find the tag on the inside of your tent. Its usually at one of the zipper joints or the door and get me the code on it and I can see how it compares to the one I bought this fabric for to see if its a match.
This is what the camper looked like that I bought it for:
