Replacing awning....

Unfortunately I lived an learned with my awning in my 2018 228bhse pup....left awning up during storm, didnt pitch it correctly and awning stretched from water and eventually bent the poles too. Need to replace the entire awning and poles. Is it best to go back to dealer or call manufacturer and get the model of the awning from them? So many options I found on online for replacement, not sure where to start. [emoji26]

If you unroll the awning, the model number should be available on the fabric roller tube (FRT). If you want a direct replacement you're best bet is to contact the awning manufacturer, such as Dometic.
Be aware, the roller and arms may be manufactured by one company while the awning material could be by another company.

Thank you! I did not know that. I will contact Dometic

I figured it would be pricey! Where did you replace yours from?

There should be poles going from awning to the top of the pop up and then the support poles to the ground or to the outside like they are in the photos. Was it set up like this when it got destroyed?

No. This pic is from my maiden voyage with my camper before I realized how it was supposed to go up. It did not get damaged that trip. It was the next one when we had it installed the right way. I posted this pic merely to show what my awning looked like. Only pic I had.

Had a huge rain storm and did not pitch it down on one side until it was too late and it broke
