Replacing pop up camper heat only thermostat

My pop up camper currently has a suburban 161210 in it and will absolutely bring you out. My question is this, is there a replacement with a analog sensor probe or something from the like that I can read temp in upper portion of pop up and not floor? Pop up is a 2018 forest river 675. Thanks for all the help.

something you might consider trying is setting the stat to a temp and measure the difference between the floor and ceiling and adjust the stat accordingly. JMHO

To prevent condensation inside the camper, I always leave the roof vent cracked open. This has the side effect of helping the heater air circulate a little better. Others have used 12V and/or 120V fans to help circulate heater air.

To reduce heater (and battery) use, we went to down blankets on the beds. We sleep very comfortably with the thermostat set to about 55 on those 40 deg nights.

I have wondered if something like this would work for accuracy at least. It won't solve the "hot air at the roof" problem.

Walmart has a Honeywell thermostat for $19.99 also. I had the old mechanical on in my last TT and it was 6 degrees off from where I set it. The electronic thermostats keep inside temperature where set for comfort. Highly recommended for the price.
