rockwood 1940 ltd sink hoses replacement

I did a search could not find specifics. The foldover sink needs new drain and water hoses. Any tips or shortcuts? I am hoping I can remove the threaded retainer on the outside and tape the new hose to the old and snake it out, same with water line- I don't want to cut the wood partition under the sink if possible. Definitely poor design- the folding and unfolding and the way the placed the hoses led to them getting squashed and finally cracked. Thank you!

I have a 2015 1950 pop-up, and had trouble with the sink drain hose splitting where it connects to the p-trap (see photo). I contacted FR and they claimed to not have heard of this problem. After sending pictures to them, they sent me a few feet of replacement hose. I figured out what was happening. When I attached a drain hose to the outside socket, it was twisting, resulting in the the splitting. When I reattached the new hose, I put a screw on both sides of the part closest to the wall, on the outside. I could not get to the nut on the inside to tighten it. (see photo of one screw.) Now it no longer twists when I attach the drain hose. No more splitting. So far, no problems with the water hoses.

Looks like the pictures are sideways, sorry, but I hope this helps.
The picture of the p-trap, with black tape, was a temporary fix.
The picture of the outside shows the ring which slipped. Couldn't reach the inside ring to fully tighten it so it would not slip. The screws stopped the slipping.

Thank you for the pics! Even though your hose split at a different point, I know see how it is connected to the trap. I just hope I don't mess with the wood cover too much to get access. I wonder if there is a more flexible/resilient hose replacement? I think maybe must cut more clearance so it does not get squashed every time you fold/unfold the sink!
