Screen room not awning add room.

Looking at getting a screen room want a very easy 1 person setup. Looking at the clam 9879 which looks great but cheapest I find is 240.00. Wondering of there might be a cheaper room that is as easy to setup?

I had a Starcraft 3612 that I just traded 3 weeks ago for my 2010 HW296.
I originally had a Dometic 13ft awning on it, but the room fell apart all the stitching come undone right by the zipper.
Starcraft said Dometic stopped making the room for the Awning.
So I changed the Awning to a Shademaker Awning and got the screened room I think it was around $200. It goes on with Velcro, if I had kept that trailer I was gonna put snaps on the room.

My Bro has a tool for putting on the snaps.
Checkout the Shademaker Awnings if you haven't yet I loved the Awning, very easy to setup one person can do it.
Here is the link
Bag Awnings | ShadeMaker Products Corp.
They even make it in a 14ft Awning.

There may be other cheaper ones out there, but I will say after using the CLAM for this summer, it has to be the best out there. Set up and take down is can be done in less than 1 minute once you figure it out. We got ours for right around $200 including shipping, but we waited until Black Friday to do so. We compared many other ones and found they were not that much cheaper and saw another camper with the CLAM and they showed us how it worked and we were sold. It is worth every penny.

Just my two cents.

Cowboy6201
I'm talking the kind u setup around a picnic table not attached to the pup. I've heard domestic has one but most people don't like it.

We just bought the Tan/Brown Clam Screen House. Set it up and took it down for the foirst time yesterday. Piece of cake once you know how to do it, which is explained in the many vids on YouTube about them. I couldn't find the brown one anywhere for less than $300. Where did you find it for @$240 and how ,much was shipping?

Yeah, I wished ours was brown to too match the camper lol. I will say, quality is top notch and after seeing a couple others and what they cost I personally wouldn't get anything else. We love ours.

How is the clam in the wind? Watching the video it looks like if you had a strong wind it might fold in.

Can't comment on a super strong wind but you do stake each corner. Haven't had it up in a really strong wind yet, but did have it set up by our site by the river and it was pretty windy and no issues.

Now, I will say I had unstaked it to take it down and got busy with something else and it did blow over, so it does have to be staked.

Thanks, I did find that one when I was searching but didn't order from them because it was an old part number in the description. Guess I should have given them a call instead of just not ordering.

Strat56. How big is it? They don't say the area I'm thinking it'd about a 9 x 9 ft floor but octagon? That's about 96sq ft does a 6ft picnic table fit with good walking room or should I get the larger one?

I've only set mine up once and I didn't try to put a table in it or measure it.

Have you seen the video on the Clam web site? It shows them putting a picnic table in and walking around. Click on the Video tab about midway down the page.

Quick-Set Escape Outdoor Canopy

I hope to be setting mine up at a campsite on Sunday, I'll measure it then if no one has supplied the dimensions by then.
