Sink won’t drain

I own a 2022 Rockwood 2280 ESP that I have not used yet. While sanitizing the water system I found that the sink won’t drain. Any suggestions?

Which sink?

Many newer units are coming with HEPVO waterless traps instead of the traditional P-traps in the bath sinks and shower but usually the galley sink has a regular P-trap.

Never use a snake on a HEPVO trap. You'll damage the internal rubber flap.

Moved thread from the Plumbing and Water Systems sub-forum to the Tent Camper and Popup section since popup sinks/plumbing differ from sinks/plumbing in other types of RVs.

Thanks Dan, that does make a difference.

There have been several prior posts on the sink not draining on a folding galley. The flex drain hose gets kinked.

Yep, and most popups don't have gray holding tanks. The sink drains into a bucket.

Hello, if you have no holding tank & your sink just drains straight out the side of your pop-up. You need to add an air vent on the outside pipe, to help the water drain quicker, see the attached sample pic (not mine)
My previous Fleetwood pop-up had this set up, so I had to add a vent pipe, it wasn't perfect but faster than it was before. Hope this helps.

The sink drain on my (other brand) popup was capped on the exit end. Cap needed to be removed before the sink would drain. See Campworthy's photo above.

Entirely possible the drain is clogged with construction debris.

We had the same issue; it was related to the length of drain hose. Since switching to a 5 foot drain hose no problems, I just don't think the weight of the water is enough to push the small amounts through a long hose.
