Soon to be owner of 2016 296HW

Going down to Orlando on Sunday to sign the papers and then won't be able to do demo/walk through for another week or so.
So excited. This will be my second popup and have been drooling over these for the last couple of years. Unfortunately sold all my stuff when I sold the first popup, so have to start over from scratch!

I sure would do the walk through before I sign the papers. Not a good idea to give them money and then find something wrong. If you read any of this forum you would see the issues that arise. BTW welcome to the forum. Later RJD

They said we will do a walk through when we go down on Saturday but I guess big Demo on setup/breakdown (3 hr block) will not happen till the following week. Thanks for the advice. Makes sense!

Just make sure you take your time on the walk through. Wow 3 hr demo I bought a 35 TT and only took an 1hr. I would think if you had one before should be fairly straight forward. Later RJD

a consumer has to demand a good long PDI.
if you don't demand it, the dealers will always shove you through it quickly.

we also had almost 3 hours PDI but i made sure they knew that i expected a comprehensive PDI.

Congrats Gator. You will love it.

I had to pay up front for mine also before I could see it. Such is the way of buying online.

All was good. I figure the money I save will pay for any repairs I need to do. I am not about to let a dealer touch my unit anyway.

Vin.

I would not sign paperwork without a walk thru and good PDI. If you find anything on the walk thru that is anything but minor, you will be low in the queue for repairs behind those that did not sign first and those that are paying for non covered repairs. Do the walk thru/PDI. sign the papers and if you need to wait a week to take home come back.
