Storing Holding Tanks

Last year we bought a new Flaggstaff 625D. We specifically chose a model with a shower and front trunk to store our extra gear. Since this model doesn’t have holding tanks, we carry a 6-gallon tank for the sink and a 20-gallon tank for the shower. We have been storing them in the trunk but together they take about 1/3 of our storage area. I’m wondering if there is a better way to transport them since they are basically just dead space.

Has anybody else devised a way to either carry their tanks underneath the camper or maybe mounted to the back bumper? Once we empty them, they don’t weigh enough to affect anything.

What about buying the factory water tank and mounting it over the axle like a unit that came with a water system.
