Thetford Toilet?shower Combo

Recently purchased a 2010 Flagstaff 228. The pump wont operate to get water into the toilet, i have changed the fuse...still not working.


Suggestions??

Verify power is present regardless of fuse status. Last think is the pump has seized and needs replaced.

Please clarify the situation:
Does the pump work for other items (kitchen sink? lavatory sink?) or fails for everything? Your post suggests it is the toilet only.

The pump runs whenever the water pressure drops due to an open tap. Pump not running suggests the valve on the toilet is not opening, or the line to the toilet is not permitting water flow.

Try this sequence:

1. Turn off the pump
2. Release pressure from piping by turning kitchen sink on, then off
3. Loosen the pipe feeding the toilet valve and direct it into a bucket
4. Have someone else turn the pump on, then off.
5. If you get water flow into the bucket, problem is with the toilet valve
6. If there's no water flow, the line to the toilet is restricted

We have a Thetford 31684, and it has been extremely reliable. No issues since we bought the trailer in 2012, and it was four years old then.

Thetford valves and valve rebuild kits are available on Amazon for $15-25. Be sure to order one that fits your model.

It is possible that the valve is just clogged. People who winterize the trailer by draining the water without bypassing the water heater first have been known to clog valves by drawing crud from the water heater into the water system.

That looks like the same model Thetford I have in my 2007 Flagstaff I recently purchased. The pump is under the small panel that has the flush button on it.
You need to remove that panel and the tray underneath it. They lift up fairly easily. Reach in and feel for the hose and the pump is connected to it. The pump just hangs in the space that holds the water for flushing.
Was the fuse you replaced in the compartment where the holding tank for the toilet is?
