Turning 1.5 inch Gray Water Drain to 3 inch

For those of you with the 1.5 inch Gray Water drain that would like to use it with a 3 inch drain hose, here's a YouTube video on how to do it.
I've been wanting to do this but didn't know how, kuddo's to the guy in the video

I'm wondering the reason for this mod? gray water shouldn't contain solids so what is the advantage. Just asking

I was having really slow water draining issues from my gray water outlet. I have a 1.5 inch outlet which then went to a 1inch hose pipe, so it meant carrying a separate gray hose and attachment for the campground sewer hole. I'm hoping this will help the flow of gray water and as I already have to carry a 3 inch hose and connector, I can eliminate my 1 inch hose.

Sir,
God bless you!
I have exactly the same issue and now armed with your excellent video the problem can be solved!!

We have the HW 296 and love it. But the goofy 1-1/2 drain pipe nonsense makes no sense at all!

That's exactly how excited I was when I first saw this video!! That's why I thought I would share! It just makes more sense to have two 3inch drains. I have my parts on order, hopefully will complete this mod next weekend

Please send me the links?

Can you please post the links to the parts you ordered? I have a HW 296 and would love to set this up but cannot seem to find the parts online.

Thank you!!

There's 5 needed, 3 were ordered from Amazon, 2 from Home Depot. I'm 10 days since ordering & still waiting on 2 of the parts! You might be able to find them somewhere else too

Got all my parts, assembled and on camper. Camping trip next weekend to give it a try. This may be one of the best tips I have got from this forum!
