TV antennas - anyone ever add one to a pup?

I have a HW 277 and was thinking of adding a TV antenna (does not come with TV or antenna, only cable outlet). Anyone ever do this? What is the best type or model and do you have any installation tips?

I have not but I did see this flat vinyl type antenna that looked pretty cool. It kind of looked like a sheet of paper. I was wondering if I could just lay it on the roof before I raise it up and let the wire dangle down.

No clue how effective it is.

Just a thought, but when I had my HW277 we would put a phone booster antenna on a L bracket and use magnets to attach it to the roof support. If you place it at the top, the canvas goes right around the bracket and attaches like normal.

That is genius. Magnets. What a great idea.

I was in HD the other day and saw some of those flat HD vinyl antennas. Also interested in how well they work. They have different ranges available, too...

I installed a Mohu Leaf in my in law's house. This particular model needs ancillary power but gets good reviews.

I put a Winegard on our 1465HST. Easy to install and worked like a charm.

They are really simple to install. Don't spare the caulking.
