What?? Grey and Black water drains different

On the Flaggstaff Highwall pop-up w/12gal Blk/Gry tanks, you have two seperate outlets. The gray has smaller outlet, common size on pop-ups. You will need an1 1/2 adapter to a water hose. The black is standard.

I used to dump my black, then just hold the hose over the gray outlet and dump it to wash out hose. We would use the adapt while camping but it always leave a little in the pipe to spill. 12 gal fills up fast.

When we had our HW it had the same annoying valves. And the sewer hose doesn't fit the GW outlet, it is like 1-1/2". From what I figured, instead of doing some thinking and routing the pipe differently around a spar or jack or something in straight line, they just left two T valves... no problem except one is odd size.
What we did was connect the little garden hose ring that comes with it or you can get, make up a short hose and get one of the BW clear connectors that also has a flush side hose port and hook on your short garden hose. Only open one T valve at a time. This way your BW drains in and washes your sewer hose out after dumping. The GW tanks will get full quicker so you may have to do a GW dump first. You'll know if when the wife hollers there's water in the shower! I wish I had my pictures here. Search internet, start with Valterra Hydroflush Reverse Flush Adapter. You will get the idea. This can be used with BW valve closed to dump GW tank. Then close the GW valve, dump the BW.
This back flush won't work good in a HW27SC because the Black Tank dumps straight down into the pipe. So a back flush can only will the tank up with water for a rinse and dump which still works.

As promised earlier... Hook both your 4" sewer hose and the grey drain (via the adapter and a garden hose) and let them drain together.

I agree that sometimes separate is preferred, but at a full hookup site it is just annoying. I made an adapter that goes from the 1.5” to a standard sewer hose. I added a wye and 1.5” screw on lengths with a 90 to connect it all. I don’t leave my grey tank open and wanted more than a garden hose for when I empty it. Pictures attached.

We had one of the Flagstaff HW campers about 4 years ago. I kept playing around with pvc plumbing fittings until I came up with something that worked.

If your high wall is like mine (Rockwood HW 277) then the black water tank discharge pipe has a 90 degree bend after it comes out of the tank The Rhino Blaster requires a straight shot into the tank to function properly.

As for the separate outlet for grey water, I don't camp at full service sites so I use my grey water to put out camp fires each night. That would be tough to do if grey and black water thanks shared the same outlet.

Attached are the adapters I bought to make sure that the grey tank is always draining. Also purchased a grey water hose to connect fron camper to sewer. Unfortunately the black is separate from the grey tank. We would have to shut black down take tje hose off and hold the hose to the grey drain and flush water out that way. There is no way to connect both together. I even called Forrest River and they could not help me.

We also have a HW with the same setup and my husband has been so frustrated trying to find some kind of adapter to connect black to grey to clean. We simply empty black then switch hose to grey just holding it in place Tightly to clean. Even talked to Jake at FR and he had no answer for us. Not sure why they changed pipe size. Good luck. Yes Flagstaff HW27KS model has the grey and black tanks drains separate.

As I suspect....This is a PUP....it has a "Black holding tank" ONLY. The Grey...or Galley, simply drains from the sink to port on the side of the PUP, NO GREY TANK. A simple short piece of garden hose and a Tote or bucket...(as we used with our old Jayco PUP) is your best option. If available, when you are at the dump station...most have a water hook up to attach a hose to and rinse out your black tank drain line.

Same here... just kept working and thinking of adapters that fit each and ran them into one of the many clear "Y' arrangements and then into one waste slinky.
The reason there isn't a set piece of equipment is because every model they do it differently, so one could fit all. So we have to engineer our own plumbing tinker toy set.

12 gallon black tank. 12 gallon grey tank. 3 inch drain on the black tank. 1 1/2 inch drain on the grey tank. You suspect wrong.

I had email Valterra to see if they had an adapter to accomplish this very annoying feat. They don't, however they did send me this list of parts:

"You will need part numbers T1041-2, D50-2866, and T1029-1. You will need a sort piece of 1-1/2” pipe to connect the T1041-2 and the D50-2866 together. Valterra does not 1-1/2” pipe available. The fittings can be seen and are available on Amazon."

However, I think the T1041-2 should be a T1041-1 based on the description on Amazon. I have the 90 garden hose adapter and the garden to 3" rv hose cleaner. Trying to drain a 12 gallon tank through a 1/4" hole is a bit annoying. I have done the "hold the 3" hose over the 1-1/2 outlet" maneuver with general success. Some small spillage of grey water.

The parts are much cheaper on etrailer than Amazon! Less than $14.

You can get the same parts at a hardware or home improvement store such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's or True Value. It will let you see what you are actually getting.
