Where is the Zamp plug on 2018 FR Rockwood ESP 2280

My popup is 'prewired' with a charging line to a Zamp plug somewhere.
Any idea where that plug is located? I can't see it on the roof.

I have a 2018 Flagstaff HW27KS. My Zamp port is on the front of the frame, behind the battery, difficult to see unless you are really looking! I can take a pic if it helps, just let me know

Also, I assume you are asking as you are thinking about adding solar? I'm in the research/planning to add solar stage. Would love to hear what you are planning on getting. Thanks

Found it where you said in front of the battery so pretty useless to be honest.
I was hoping for one up high to possible to mount a panel and charge controller between the two cycle rack bars on the top of the pop-up and plug into an existing charge wire.
If I do it I'll just run my own cable.

Only got the camper recently and ended up cancelling our first trips due to the lockdown so probably not going off grid just yey as newbies.

I feel your pain, I upgraded my p-up in March but haven't been able to use it! I've had 4 trips cancelled due to closures, one of them would have been this weekend I have however done lots of driveway camping

I really think the OP (original poster) is looking for the OTHER END of the cable.

"Solar pre-wired" means they run a cable from the roof to "near" the batteries. No controller, no battery connections--just the wire from roof to battery-area.

I really think the original poster was looking for the roof-end.

The way I read my Zamp port instructions on my p-up (pop up) it says the port runs from the front frame to the BATTERY.
@pathfinder - please forgive me if I read your post incorrectly and gave you the wrong info 🙂

I don't think there is a roof end in this case.
Looking at the Zamp connection in the frame just in front of the battery.
One leg off the back of it goes to a Ground point in the chassis.
The +ve leg goes into one of the terminals mounted on the frame under the battery tray.

Reading the brochure they seem to be for the portable Zamp kits that I guess you'd put in the ground in front of the camper rather than a fixed roof installation.

If I did install on the roof I'd put the charge controller up there and run a new wire down the roof strut to the battery.

If you put any thing but zamp, check polarity before plugging in. Zamp word it backwards.

I probably wouldn't bother with the Zamp port at all and just hard wire the charge controller 12v feed
