Winch system

I have a 2017 Forest River Flagstaff Mac 206LTD. My question is about using the manual winch system when the electronic one is not working.

The hole for the winch handle is on the side (like for a manual crank system), not the top (as in the instructional video for a powered roof system). The handle I use for the stabilizers feels like it's going to strip the nut with every turn when trying to use it to raise the camper. Could it be that I'm not supposed to be using the stabilizer jack handle to raise the roof and even though this is a powered roof system, I am supposed to use a winch handle like the manual systems have? Hope my question is clear.

If so where can I get such handle?

The two are probably not the same size. This, however, could be a good excuse to buy a battery powered drill or impact driver with the appropriate sized sockets.
