Yes prices have skyrocketed. Our trailer's asking msrp including taxes is double what we actually paid. My understanding is that folks are getting little or no discount over msrp.

Kind of wish i had 2 pop ups, so i could sell one and make some money, but only having one if i were to sell it i'd be screwed and paying bigtime to get another one.

At least the RV manufacturers are investing the increased prices back into careful, quality RV construction.

Purchased my clipper 806XLS 2 years ago new for $6999, a new one right now goes for $14999.

I'm trading mine in on Monday for well more than I paid for it.

Make hay.....

Happy camping!
I agree, but you can't compare used prices with new. Often those used prices include damage and other people's problems.

If you got a good used RV at any price, consider yourself lucky.

I ordered the 2021 HW27KS for $19,500 in July 2021...they said it might go up in price. When they finally notified me it would be ready in January 2022, I came across this thread in this forum, and then contacted the dealer to find out if it was true. Sure enough, the cost had jumped $10K. I backed out. Not worth $30K. Fortunately, that same week, a family that lived 6 hours south of me (in Florida) listed their 2020 HW27KS for $17,500. I hit the road. Unit was in perfect condition. Brought it home. I got a great deal!!!

Now, if I can just figure out how to use that goofy outdoor speaker!!! Saw the other thread for it, but no help yet.

Happy camper here!

Like most everyone else, I'd like to think that at some point this pandemic is going to end (I hope). When it does, I can't help but believe that there will be a lot of late model lightly used RVs hitting the market all at the same time, recalibrating supply and demand and resulting prices.

If I were shopping for a used RV now, I would try and wait this short supply market out...
