and in the meantime, domestic puppy millers and backyard breeders add to the problem.
Maybe people would become more alert, if they would realize how much they pay for the livelihood of backyard breeders and puppy millers even if they buy a dog from them. Shelters need to be maintained, employees paid, and euthanasia is not for free.
There are countries that have managed the issue. Where a country doesn't have to spend millions of dollars to kill unwanted pets a month just because Jane Doe was too greedy to spay her dog or because John Doe is too lazy to go to work. Why should he? Just churn out another batch of Frenchies and let society take care of it.
Ok, I shut up. Just would be happy if you all could give it a thought, and next time, you go to vote, maybe you could ask your candidate what he or she is willing to do. you see, there was a bill on the table of NC, and it got shut down. Why? Because the commercial pet breeders voiced their opposition and we animal lovers didn't. Politicians go after topics they feel will give them votes.
