Question Alternative Entry Door steps for our German Shepherd

Hello All. This is my first post so I will stumble through it. My Wife and I have a 2022 Wolf Pup 16FQ we just purchased this summer. I was wondering if there is a different option for the entry door steps, to make it easier for our 14 year old German Shepherd, Abby, to get in and out. The tilt-out steps extend only 24 inches out at the ground, which is very steep for her. We are trying to figure out something that will extend out further so the steps are not so steep for her. Or even a tilt-out ramp option possibly? We purchased a foldable ramp, 14 inches wide which can hook at the door entry, but she still has trouble because of the narrowness of the portable ramp. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and thank you for this forum.

Moved thread from the Welcome Mat section to the Pets sub-forum since the OP's post is strictly about a Pet issue and not an introduction post.

Take a look at the Torklift website. They manufacture an alternative to what you have. You can add steps to adjust the angle. Torklift makes their product from stainless steel and aircraft grade aluminum, so they will last for a long time. The steps collapse for storage, so you can get into your trailer without deploying the steps, and they will fully deploy as long as you can open the door to 90 degrees or more.

I have their old style under-mount steps on my trailer and love them. You will be looking for their uprising version.

I looked at this and am very interested. Any idea of pricing for this?

I also think OP could probably reach out and maybe even get them to do a custom set for him. They seem like they type.

We have the Torklift steps. They are great, one of the best mods we've done, but they are not cheap, but worth every penny. I'm guessing ours are 5 years old and can't even estimate how many times they have been in and out and used up and down.
If they have them to fit your camper I suggest you get them.

When our Chow got older we built a wooden ramp out of a couple 2x4s and a piece of scrap plywood that was as wide as the door. I screwed some friction strips on it for traction. (adhesive type sandpaper)

We used it both for the R/V and for her to get in the back seat of the truck.
