We had two Airedales and either of them would have been great camping dogs. Unfortunately both are gone now, so we're camping with a little white Bichon Frise that runs the show.

We always have our 22 pound miniature Dachshund and the 24lb Cockapoo.

They have their camp routines down pretty well too.

Abby, our 13 year old maltese, has been traveling with us since 2005. She is routine oriented. I pump gas, she hits the grass. I drive, she sleeps. Used to love to walk the rv parks but heart wont let her any more. Hope your airdale gives you years of special travel memories.

Our two little ones take up enough room on our bed, I'd hate to have anything bigger.

Cat

We have just started taking our 16 pound male cat out with us on trips. So far, we have been on two, the first was pretty bad, the second was a little better. We have a harness from him that fits very snug around his neck and back. The leash we use on him is about six feet long. DW takes him for walks just like a dog, he loves going out at night when it is quieter. You see, he has been an indoor and outdoor cat for about two years, so staying inside most of the time is kind of new to him. When you consider he sleeps at least 18 hours a day, the 6 he is awake can't be all that bad.

In our world we are just "Driving Miss Daisy". Without a doubt she is the boss and I am just the driver.

That cat needs a bigger bed judging by that picture

Looks like my Tuxedo and probably the same size. No cats camping, just the dog.

We now camp with 1 boxer. Before they passed away we used to camp with 2 boxers and 1 Lab. They all love to camp and seem to know what is going on when we get ready to go camping.

We took our Doxy this past weekend...first time ever for him. Well, he's a mix breed...imagine a doxy with the coat of an Irish Setter.

He was *juiced*! He wore me out going for walks and ended up being the talk of the RV park! Kids wanted to know when I would be walking him again. He was like the Pied Piper...had an entourage.

This is Fred, and yes, he smiles.

Yep, that's a puppy pad behind him. That was his first night and we weren't sure how he'd react...the puppy pad was insurance.

Also left his leash on in case he shot out the door....better chance of catching him.

He did beautifully. I even left him for a trip to WalMart. Was worried and hurried back "home". (eyeroll) He was so sound asleep he didn't even hear me come in.

We used to camp with our cocker spaniel but she is now in doggie heaven. We went one time and it was muddy all weekend and she was filthy had no way of cleaning her so we decided to put her in her crate in the bath tub and travel with her there BAAAAD MISTAAAAKE since that trip we could not leave her in the camper alone she would scratch the door and widows trying to get out

Just an 18 pound cat who is 15 and recently diagnosed with CRF (renal failure). Trying to manage and keep it comfortable while in the RV. But it still gives me hugs and cuddles.
