Getting the pill into the dog

Our Border Collie will do anything you want her to if she thinks it's her idea. To get her to down the pills we put a dab of peanut butter on the pill and "accidently" drop it on the floor. She looks at it until we reach for it and say "give me that". That's her cue to pick it up and run away with it. She gets about two steps away and turns around licking her chops looking for another one!

My nine year old is about the same way.

My Chi has only had heart prevention pill. She too could detect it in the PB and meat and spit it out. Finally started putting a little warm water in her food, it melts, and now she doesn't even know she's had it.
