Overhead seems best.

If you cannot swing over the air you could try a 4" PVC pipe. Not sure if dog will get through that or not but at least gives you and idea before it gets shocked the one time and then it would be time for another dog. You could try leaving some pipe out and see of it chews on the pipe before you buy a bunch.

My problem isn't my dog, it's the freakin' squirrels! Chewed right through the power cable to my hot tub... I'm in the process of replacing the wire, and covering it with this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...0?ie=UTF8&th=1

It's a very fine expandable mesh tube to put over the wire. If they start chewing on it, it will fill their mouth with copper strands. I'm hoping this does the trick!

It's not cheap, but neither are power cables...

This will only be done when the camper is in our backyard. When camping the dogs will be leashed or in the camper. I think Bob hit the nail with a bolt on the house. I know a 30 amp cable weighs a considerable amount but should be easy to toss over the roof or at the very least use a ladder to drape it. I looked at the aluminum conduit and liked the idea of the 4" diameter (wouldn't need to remove the plug) but it would still be a lot of work threading the cord through it after every trip.

Put the right size flex and leave it on

They eat phone cables on the poles, copper does not stop them!

You could use 4 inch PVC and tie a piece of rope on it when you fish it. Leave the rope there to pull back in when you get home! Only take a couple minutes.

Chew Toys

I have found deer and elk antlers to be the best chews for dogs. They last a long time and are free if you spend any time in the woods. If you need to buy something, buy cow hooves. They last.

Didn't hurt her any but it was the last time she chewed on anything but a bone.
Ours chewed through a 16ga cord with 8 or so amps going through. Heard him flip across the patio middle of the night but didn't know why til morning. Blew that breaker. He seemed fine AND SMARTER NOW. HE looks at cords now and steers a wide birth around them.

Of course the next week he chewed the gray valve handle half off. Beating his head on the valves in the morning and he steers clear of those too NOW.

WHAT WILL HIS NEXT LESSON BE.

Keeping dog from chewing power cord.

Unplug and get solar panels. Move the puppy to the other side of your rig. Give him an old stinky slinky to chew on, see how he likes that. Or maybe just tie him up near your neighbors power cord. All of these ideas seem to be worth trying[emoji12]

Spiral Wrap

I put plastic spiral cable wrap on power cord to keep my bunnies from chewing them.

I had a bloodhound named Cool Hand Luke that chewed a lot. Pet stores make a spray called bitter apple spray so that if you spray the power cord and wile it with that he will probably associate the power cord with the apple spray. Before I found this I would put Tabasco sauce on certain things he liked to chew. Good luck

LOL......they learn quick.

I put up one of those uber expensive child care facilities a few years ago. All the doors had to have these protectors on the hinge side so children could not get their fingers pinched. I suggested to the lady they hired to manage the place, perhaps we should not install them and instead on every child's first day that she put their hand in there and slam the door shut. That would be a life lesson and they would never do it again.

She did not see humor in it LOL.

She already has plenty of chew toys but that doesn't stop her from trying to eat shoes and other items that are not hers. On a good note she has not tried to chew any of the cords in the house but I am afraid the big 30 amp wire may be irresistible.
Maybe some one has already suggested this ???
But they make a spray to keep critters away from bushes & stuff !!!
I think it is called Critter Spray ??? I used it on our cord in the north woods
I put the cord in a trash bag,,, and sprayed the H out of it !!!
I believe it has Hot Pepper juice in it ???

Let her chew into it once! She'll never do it again. And if she does then you know she is not the smartest.

Seriously, overhead would be the best. Or install a 30A box at the trailer.

Edit:
I see Tom beat me to it!
