Like "Lady" *La-dee*

My dogs name is Bailey.

But then again, we've also had a sugar (chocolate lab, her full name was Brown Sugar) and she did just fine.
Our golden was named Bailee

Our dog was "Angel" and she was. Very smart and could do multiple commands in sequence like go to another room and ask someone if it was OK to have a "gumdrop" get the answer and come back into the other room and tell the person it was OK. Lived 15 years. We miss her.

I just looked it up - the breed is: Lhasa Apso. Pronounced "Lassa Apso", the last one rhymes with "also".

Cheers.

My wife named our new dog Ernie. Now that we've had him awhile it should have been:
Chewy
Destroyer
Digger
Lucifer
or PITA
Watch your new dog for a week or so and a fitting name will come to you.

Same here. We were trying to decide what to name our dog. I noticed that on her vet folder Pata Blanca. I had no idea what Pata meant, but told my husband that the people we got her from had already given her that name. My husband told me that Pata meant foot in Spanish. I looked again and it said marking not name, but the name stuck. I live on the border so people look at us a little strange when we are calling Pata. Point is, you just don't know what is going to stick.

Sister had 2 goldens name Crosby and Nash (after the band).

Once you have the pup in hand, usually the name comes to you and it fits.

Good luck with your new camping companion.
We also had a dog named Quila- short for Tequila. He was a rescue dog- that's the name he came with. Only reacted to radio when the song "Tequila" was played, and when a doorbell sounded.
Whatever you choose, the dog will answer when well trained. Good luck.

Ouiser "Weezer" Wife named our Daschund after Shirley McClain from Purple Magnolia. Gave us 15 1/2 years if unconditional love.
