Puppy Name

Well, we got a different puppy and wanted a different name for her. So, we decided on Kaci and we really like it, and she really is diffferent.....a chihuahua, terrier, sheperd mix. She is now 19 months old and weighs about 19 pounds, which is about as big as she will get.

Our last was a chow/retriever mix.
She crossed the Rainbow Bridge a couple years ago. (RIP)

Being a bluegrass musician, we wanted something tied into that.
We called her Mandi Lynn. (mandolin)

She absolutely LOVED to camp!

She would be honored to share her name.

I'll add mine too
Female is Princess Tiara on her AKC papers, but I have only called her Tia. My male from a Malamute rescue is Jackson.
If I had had them both from 8-weeks, I would have called them Bonnie and Clyde.

I tend to give pets disparaging names like Doughhead, said with a loving tone of voice.

You probably don't want to do that.

I friend of mine owned and loved Datsuns(Dachshunds)... I would prolly be strange in saying I loved another mans dog..(wife maybe?). Anyway he had a male dog named RW. They were visiting Yellowstone and witnessed a lanky cowboy type man with a little boy 4-5-6 YO and as they were looking at the park(geyser) the little boy's father knelt down beside him and said "see there R.W. ......." Years later they got RW and where coming up with a name and out it came. What a special dog he was.

I recommend taking her registered name and going from there. One of my kittens, Dances with mice is now called Mouse... and it fits.

So the hunt is on ... any suggestions for a name for a female Golden Retriever puppy would be greatly appreciated. Currently leaning toward Riley or Dakota (that is until tomorrow when we see one we like better)

Just to let everyone know that tried to help.... We now have MORGAN.
She is 5 months old (we have had her for the past two months).

We had 5 names picked out when all was said and done... apparently we just didn't know the definition of done. None of the 5 were Morgan but on the way home....YEP, let's call her Morgan!
Morgan doesn't have any special meaning to us it just seems to fit her.

Her and Kona have become best friends. Morgan is doing very well. Learning fast or teaching us fast, not sure which.

Somehow pets have a way with selecting their name. I had 3 names in mind for my cat and Kitty wasn't one of them.

Just went back through all the previous posts (thanks to all) and just for the record Morgan wasn't in any of them. We've often thought that maybe we should have called her Kayoss.

We forgot how much work (and how little sleep) a puppy could be.
