Pet Monitor
What do you all use for a pet monitor while you are away from the RV? I have been using Alfred but am looking to upgrade ..Have looked into Wyze and Yi. Both have some pretty wild security problems. Just want something that we can check on Jaycee and make sure she is doing OK.Thanks for all advice.

I have a Marcell by SensoredLife. It updates and send the temperature and humidity readings every 12 hours, but if the temperature or humidity go over or bellow the ranges I set, I get a text message immediately. I’m very happy with it. Also, for very little money, ($2 for 8 updates) you can check the temperature whenever you want.

I use the Temp Stick by Ideal Sciences with my verizon Jetpack. Have used it about 3 years. It works off your wifi and sends email and/or text to both phones. No subscription fee. Made, monitored and supported in the USA.
There is also an app for it that you can call up any time. Very satisfied with the product.

Yep me too, I have a full Ring Burg,Fire, Flood and Freeze Alarm system in my Cedar Creek on WiFi and a LTE modem. The Temp Stick ties into the WiFi and also uses the LTE modem to send me the alerts. Works Great.

Ok so the systems that use wifi/mifi.. you are paying for wifi PLUS the temp moniter service too. Why not just use the cellular temp moniter service? Many times I do not have wifi/mifi but do have cellular coverage.

You don't pay a subscription for the service. It's included in the price. I guess if you don't want to use wifi you won't be able to use the temp stick. I had the wifi/mifi before i got the temp stick as I use it for my internet.

What cellular temp monitor service are you taking about? Will it work with AT&T?

Wyze for me. Not worried about anyone cracking the code to see the dogs. The wyze can pan, and the in app zoom makes it easy to see the thermometer on the counter. I carry phones for the big 3 to ensure work access, so I leave one on for the cam to connect through. The cam is not a data eater for checking in every half hour (hot weather) or hour (when ac is not needed).
Sometimes I leave an older cam outside too.
I hook through 12v only in case 120v goes out, look for a cam with a USB wart.

Since my GF and I both have iPhones we leave one on the counter with a thermometer in view. Set up FaceTime to auto answer and then we call every 15 minutes. Cost nothing and has the added advantage of seeing doggies on couch.
