Beautiful! Always admired the Akita but with some reservation. They are stealthy and quiet hunters and many moons ago had to rescue our Sheltie from the maw of our neighbor's Akita. She (the neighbor) eventually left the neighborhood due the number of cats that were disappearing.

Our Akitas are all sweet dogs, and we are regularly complimented on their good temperments. They are still, however, Akitas, so they are never left unattended in public or without leashes. Three of the four are under two years old, and on our recent AZ to Chicago and back adventure, they made surprisingly pleasant traveling companions.

The wolf pack is why we opted for the 233S. Lots of floor and bunk space. Although we had at least one with us on our bunk at night.

That is part of why each generation gets smaller, in physical size, they all sleep on the bed...
