Haven't posted a Boont update in awhile - last week on site & all I had to say was stay when we came back to the camper & found this ....best camping dog ever..... still hates getting in the water but made it up to his elbows at the canoe launch

So started traveling with the Husky last year 18 months old currently. The little guy Buster we added 4 weeks ago. Part of a large litter lady already had 4 adult dogs, 3 cats. So wife said we had to have. He was born first week or so in April is what we were told so guessing up too 12 weeks old.

Wondering what kind of pup Buster is? We have a Plott Hound named Jax we rescued almost 7 yrs ago. He was a full grown dog when he came to live with us. A big black brindled boy. You can see him a few posts down with our other pups

We are too, he was listed as rot/pit/German Shepard mom looked like she had pit in her. The lady a very nice lady ( but very overwhelmed) stated mom was part rot and pit and that dad was a German Shepard. When I mentioned that I was looking at a mastiff. She said that she couldn’t really say what dad was but he was big and might have been a mastiff. While we were talking either Buster or one of the other brindles laid up against another dog that looked like a short haired what I call cattle dog. I think called Australian Shepard by others had the color of a Dutch Shepard. They were perfect color match. I suggest he might be dad but the lady said she got him after the mom was pregnant. I will say most entertaining puppy I have had thus far and we are enjoying him

We have had our miniature Schnauzer for 2 camping trips now and he has adapted quite well. The first trip was only 4 days after we got him at 8 weeks. He got to ride a ferry to Washington island in Door county WI. It is fun having him learn new things and meeting other people and dogs!

Cody age 9 1/2 wks. I just lost my two 13 year old Chocolate Lab and Golden Ret. three months apart. Cody has some big camping shoes to fill now. Clover is so patient with this little bundle of energy.

We said good bye to our sweet Willie on 1/31/22. His liver was too damaged to try yet another regimen of meds and he quit eating. This will be our first year camping without him. No plans to fill his seat on the sofa.
