Thanks Jon.. We really liked it too. Went into the dealer thinking we were going to buy a Cougar and fell in love with how big this Solaire was. Can't wait to get it out

Nice camper. We spent hours at the RV show and the Solaire won us over too

Our 269 has the island sink and slider kitchen. Does your dinette table touch the island when the LR slide is in? I hope it doesn't cause any rubbing issues

Delivery went great. Purchased it from Countryside RV in Colfax, IA and the staff was awesome. I bought the equalizer hitch and it pulled amazing, even on a windy day. It was a 3hr drive home. Can't wait to get out on our first trip!
Any other Iowa folks out here have a favorite, kid friendly, campground?

We also use the Equalizer and I like it much better than the old one we had (chains and trunion bars)

First Mod....
Well since it is raining out of control I decided to go ahead and do my first mod to the 318. Changed out the 36" LED TV I got with it for a 42" LED. I had to remove the mount and centered it (it was an inch off center). Also moved it up so the TV would be centered, instead of toward the bottom. I had to also remove the radio and level that too. Whoever put these in must have a crooked head! Fits great!
Also put the TV in the bunk room entertainment center, as well as a DVD player.

Funny....I keep finding more stuff that was missed on the walk through. Found the spare tire cover they said "didnt come with this model", and yesterday found this chair underneath the dinette seat that I didnt know (and dealer obviously didnt know) even came with this model.

I like the exterior colour scheme with the matte black on the front as well as the black slide out side walls. Sharp

Thanks 5 hole! That matte black on the front is actually LineX bed liner the manufacturer sprayed on the front. It's very nice to keep the rock chips to a minimum, and I think it gave it a great look. That was one of the things that drew my eye to this unit.. That and the fact the whole thing is outfitted with LED lighting from the factory..including the storage areas, the outdoor kitchen, and all of the lights on the front

Well...haven't camped yet since the weather has been so cold but I did set everything up in the driveway for a few days. We had 30mph winds, 4" of rain, then snow, and not a drop of water inside. I guess that's pretty good!
