Red face 320RS Second Gray Water Holding Tank

We took delivery of our new 320RS and have been, "Full-Timing" it for about 2 weeks now. When we did our PDI, I questioned the 2nd G/W holding tank and how it worked. The answer, which I suspect even more now than then to be incorrect, was, "It's for overflow of the main G/W holding tank." I've looked through the Owner's Manual, and can't find an answer there either, so asking the question here, What is the 2nd G/W holding tank for as I am pretty sure it's not an, "overflow." I beleive it's for the Washer G/W (if one is installed), but again, can't confirm that w/ the manual. TKS in advance for the answer to the "rookie" question!

most RV's that have two gray tanks, have one for the kitchen galley and the other for bathroom sink and shower.

One of the gray tanks will be for the shower/vanity drains, the other gray tank will be for the kitchen sink. In some cases the manufacturer cross connects the two tanks. If you check the camper's docking station, how many tank valves do you have...2 or 3?

Yeah, when we took delivery, we ran the shower/bath sink and the kitchen sink to fill the G/W tank(s). #1 filled and the water began to back up into the shower. The #2 G/W tank didn't get a drop in it as far as I can tell. I have filled and dumped the #1 G/W tank several times, just to try and get it to "overflow" to the #2 tank w/o success.

Two; one G/W and one B/W. There is another pull/dump valve under the trailer near the dump connection.

That answers your question on cross connection of the 2 tanks. I can't believe how little some saleman know about the campers they sell!

Dave wins an award for that bit of truth.

320RS has two indivual gray tanks - not interconnected. Take 4 or 5 long showers and one gray tank will be full while the kitchen gray tank remains empty. Not sure which tank the washer/dryer water discharge uses as I don't have laundry machines in mine. It would be nice if it was the kitchen tank as that one is never full.

If your not hooked up to sewer dump remember about the shower use. Those huge 40x60 Columbus shower areas are very nice but extended water use = filled gray tank quick! On the bright side, the big 10 gallon water heater never runs out of hot water during a shower.

Some feedback on here of black water valve leaking.........may be out of adjustment as it doesn't close all the way when t handle is pushed in. I remember reading about unscrewing T handle and readjust lock nut so cable can go in further thus complety closing off black valve.

Enjoy your new 320RS. We do!!!

Our washing machine goes into the bathroom gray tank.
If you put a slider valve where the sewer pipe hooks up and close it while opening both gray tank valves you might be able to balance the capacity between the two.
I'll have to give that a try.

I have the 365RL and also was confused about the second grey tank. In the outside water compartment there is one black water and one grey water dump valve. The drain for these is common, and located near and underneath that compartment. That grey tank valve is for the bathroom only. The second grey water valve is located near the rear of the trailer and is attached to the other drain connection. That tank is for the kitchen sink only. If you want to have both grey tanks open to a single sewer connection, you will need a Y adapter, and at least one more sewer hose.

I have a new motohome Sunseeker 2860 with that third outlet which is to the rear and out side of the compartment also. I was told by the dealer it was the fresh water dump or drain but have not confirmed that yet. However it does have the sewer type outlet.

The 320rs has everything mid-ship unlike the 365RL.
