340RK Problems

Has anyone else had numerous problems with their Columbus 340RK? I have have had several smaller problems with ours, but now the front axle needs to be replaced and the floor is sinking in. The floor has at least three areas where it sags when stepped on. One spot is about 3 feet around and feels like you are going to go completely through the floor. Not very happy with Forest River right now. Thoughts?

340RK Problems

Request that it be returned to the factory to be repaired correctly. I would not trust most RV dealers' service departments to perform major structural repairs. i.e. subfloor replacement.

jeb 182, We have a 2013 340 RK. Used it for the first season last summer. Took it in to dealer on Oct. 7th 2013 and it had to go back to factory. Finally picked it up from factory at the end of march. 7 months total. We kept a punch list going to keep track of items. The MAIN concern was the stationary side walls bowing out when slides were extended. factory repaired this by attaching walls to kitchen counter top, thereby using counter top to hold walls together.. Other items included : Fireplace repalced (inner piece warping), Interior skylight replaced (warping from heat), Entrance door replaced (adjustment was made by bending bottom of hinge), front area of frame where pinbox attaches reinforced, bedroom slide pulling away from wall while closing (longer screws installed), Interior weather strips replaced (falling off when slides retracted) Shades adjusted (have since installed MCD shades in bedroom) Propane bottle slide retaining pin weld broke (new rack installed) Other item that I took care of : Wall sconce between table and recliners had the socket loose and fixture falling off wall ( removed and rebuilt fixture and better anchors to hold on wall) Drawer bottoms below oven & refrig both fell out (installed plywood bottoms), Top right door above T.V. falling off (replaced stripped screws).
I am planning on going to Goshen this August, I have started a NEW list. Good luck with your repairs. The factory Rep (Cel Lopez seems to do a pretty good job. He is just overwhelmed with the quantity of jobs to do, but it will get done. If you have patience you may get some extras from him........
