AC

Good Morning from Texas! I have a couple questions that you all might be able to help me on! My first is how to keep the air filter from getting sucked up into the unit! I have it zipped tied for now! The next one is while I have the AC running on auto fan and cooling sometime it will cycle down from high through low then seems to get hung up and stops pushing air out! So what I have to do is turn it completely off, then after a bit I turn the fan back on only to turn the cool system back on! Thanks!

Not sure exactly what you mean by the unit stops pushing air. On my Dometic unit it has a two stage system operation. When I first turn it on the fan runs on high then after a period of time the thermostat adjusts the fan speed to a lower setting based on some set point I guess. If the temperature inside the rv gets high enough the thermostat increases fan speed automatically or if it's happy it may stay on a lower setting all day.

So what I mean to say is I believe I can still hear a component running (humming) and it doesn’t seem to send out any air at that point! Thanks

Mine will do something like that when it's changing stages. It sounds like the fan stops and the compressor is still running. After a short period of time the fan restarts at whatever speed the system wants it to run at. It may do this several times until the temperature gets balanced.

So something real crazy on what was a hot day today! As I kept the comfort vent open most of the day the unit stayed on high til half past 6pm! It then changed to the low setting and thought it dropped due to my place feeling cool! But after a short time blowing cool air at the low speed! The unit stopped blowing all together! I am curious what is the issue here! Thanks and have a good one!
