Brake light and right turn signal

Where do I start looking for wiring for right brake light and right turn signal? Tail light works and it’s not the bulb.

I'd look under the hood of my tow vehicle. I had a blown fuse in the fuse box under the hood of my 2014 GMC Sierra which caused rear light failures. My fuse is a 10amp fuse.

Bulb is probably dual filament. Turn signal and brake light use the same filament. Tail light uses the other one.

Sorry it’s supposed to be right turn signal

First see if you have power at the tow vehicles 7-pin plug. If you don't have one, these are very helpful:

Right brake/turn signal power is from pin #6:

If you don't have power at Pin #6 with the brake pedal depressed, check the fuses as Mr. Dan suggested. If it's a GM truck, the trailer lights have different fuses than the truck lights.

Brake light and right turn signal...

I just got back in town from Mt. Rushmore...and I just had this problem as I traveled from Mt. Rushmore to Sioux Falls.
It turns out my problem was that there was a little bit of sand in my electrical plug from the trailer to the tow vehicle. The sand was picked up in the electrical grease in the plug and blocked the contact on the turn signal.
It blocked only the turn signal/brake light on the left side.
Cleaned it off and rode the rest of the way home with no problems. (BTW, it also knocked out the rear vision camera on the back of my TT until fixed) I was also perplexed because I first changed the bulb. No help... I then was stumped and dreaded going through fuses...Or loth the thought of emptying out the storage and crawling in to check for a good ground on the light fixture. I am 75 years old and 250 lbs. It ends up I never had to. Just keep it clean and travel on...

Some of them have 2 fuse boxes; one under the hood on driver's side and the other under the dash inside truck. We had trouble with our brake lights 2015 Palomino Puma TT bought used, and took it in to a repair shop and it was just a fuse. Some fuses are even under the floorboard, depending on what type of truck you have. Happy camping.

You don't specify a tow vehicle so I'll just relate this and take from it what you will. I had a right turn signal and brake light not working, but all other lights were functional. Checked trailer with a jumper and a battery, and all lights on the trailer were functional. All lights on my Chevy pickup were also functional. I checked all fuses involved, and all were good. Turned out to be the signal flasher unit was bad. They build in the relay to convert a 3 way, (separate brake, turn, running) light to a two way, (combined brake/turn signal) system. Your trailer is probably a 2 way system. Once I figured out where the turn signal relay was, it was an easy replacement. Just Google "fast flash" if you have a Chevrolet/GM vehicle as you need to get the correct replacement unit or your turn signals will flash very fast. I bought mine from Rock Auto.

Ford probably uses a similar setup. Would be worth checking it out. I'm sure many of the people here tow with that same vehicle. It's an unusual situation as they don't fail that often.

Right brake/turn signal power is from pin #6:

Attachment 230039

Do they make anything that does the reverse... check continuity from the trailer plug back to the lights?
