Columbus 340RK Heat Pump

We are looking at the Columbus 340RK and are thinking about adding a heat pump. Does anyone have one and would you recommend it? We do a lot of winter camping and are thinking it may save some propane. Thanks.

i have one on my 320, had one on my previous 5th and I would recommend it for sure. they work well down to the mid 30's , below that you will need your furnace or space heaters such as a fireplace. If it gets too cold I leave!

Thanks. We are so looking forward to getting a Columbus. Right now we have nothing because we sold out travel trailer and it's killing me to not have anything. Have you had any problems with your Columbus and would you buy one again? It sounds like most people are happy with them and the quality seems much better than other brands. Even the more expensive ones.

Thanks. I can't tell you how much we are looking forward to getting our 340RK. It looks like we're going to have to order one to get exactly what we want and that will take a couple of months. Going to be a long wait, but when it arrives we will be in it every weekend and all winter. Absolutely love the layout.

Yes i would buy one again even after this one.Have had a few minor issues, if you read further on this forum you will find out about all the things that could go wrong, but not all affect all units. I have had some minor issues but nothing to bad to make me regret buying mine. Order it out the way you want it, consider an upgraded hitch if you do order as in my opinion it makes a huge difference over a standard 5er hitch in the ride quality of your truck. The wait will be well worth it!

Happy Camping

Is the heat pump quieter than the standard A/C and standard furnace ?

Thanks.

I can only say that the heat pump sounds the same as the AC.
