Columbus default fans?
If I've not ordered the optional Fan-Tastic vent fans, what come - if any - by default in the Kitchen & bathroom in the units?

We have a high speed exhaust fan Standard in the bathroom. Also we do vent our cooktop/ convection cooking area. Many brands do not

I do not believe there is a "default" fan in the kitchen. I believe you have to order it with the fan and the only option I saw was for the fantastic fan (Which would be the only choice I would go with).

O.K., so no fan in the living area, and a high speed fan in the bathroom. I'm guessing adding one ofter manufacture wouldn't be trivial?
Thanks for the info.

I thought my 295RL was going to come with the Kitchen Fantastic Fan but I was wrong. I will probably end up adding it in later on. Right now I have other items I want to purchase for the RV before adding in the fan. Definitely love the fantastic fan in the bedroom.

I've ordered the second AC for the bedroom, so that's covered. And with the high speed default in the bathroom, I'm not too concerned there. The kitchen: well, we'll see.

The manual fan in the bathroom is fantastic. I wish I had one at home. I find the fan above the stove is very adequate for removing smelly things from the kitchen, except my MIL.

Fan in the living room is a ceiling fan and it's balanced with minimal wobble and runs quiet.
Fan in kitchen is the one over stove/microwave. Be aware there is a vent cover outside you have to open up first to get fumes to vent to atmosphere. This cover is difficult to open - be careful not to break it.
Fan in kitchen #2 is fantastic fan - has remote control and the remote works in the bedroom. This also has a rain sensor on it to shut down fan AND cover if it rains. This fan is powerful and noisy. Open a couple of windows and it will exchange air from outside to inside quick. Shut all the windows at nite and then just open the windows by bed a bit and a cool breeze will blow on your head for sleeping. Again bring the remote with you to bed. NICE!. Works in MN as it always gets cool at nite. You guys further south will want 2nd AC unit in bedroom.
Fan in bathroom - manual operation. Don't forget to close cover when not in use due to rain issues. Don't use this fan when flushing toilet as it sucks up poo fumes from black tank.
Fan in bedroom, AC in bedroom. These are options. Mine is just a prep for AC so all it has is a vent cover you can open. Basically worthless to use without at least a fan to get rid of heat in room. I leave it closed and used ducted AC from living room to cool bedroom.
Above is what's on my 320RS and how I use it. AC in bedroom would be nice but if you don't like noise when you sleep, you won't be happy so I skipped that option.

My 295rl has a fan in it. I climbed on top looking at it . It says it is a fanastic and I counted 10 blades on it. I noticed it had something on it with wire mesh screen on it. Is this a rain sensor for closing the cover? I have manually open it. Will the cover close on its on if the fan is in the off position . I do not have a remote control . Can I get one for it?

You better find out what model of fantastic fan you have. This is what I have. FanTastic Vent - Product - Model 6600
Not all the models have rain sensors
Not all the models have remote controls
Once you find your model # - look at these for a match

I have a 320RS and have just the standard fan in the bathroom (wife can't reach it), and AC units in both BR, and LR. Other than the ceiling fan in the LR, and vent fan under the microwave, have people actully had a fantastic fan installed in the kitchen?

I ordered ours with the remote controlled rain sensing Fan/fan in the vent above the kitchen area.

Fantastic fan with remote control is installed in the ceiling/roof of the kitchen area. This was pretty standard on the 2012 and early 2013 320RS models.

I have the same fan as you Wayne, I can not tell which one that I have either, I think it was on the little piece of paper that was nattached with a rubberband. I will look when I get home today.

Also Wayne, mine opens manually and closes manually, no rain sensor. I put a Fantastic Ultra Breeze vent cover over mine, so I do not have to worry about the rain.

Ok, Now that I got home, I looked. Mine is called a create a breeze ceiling fan made by fantastic fan, that is why it has a label Fantastic fan on it. It is a Model 8000. Here is the link to the brochure. I will also post a copy of this on the Facebook page with the rest of the manuals. I hope this was helpful for you.

Would someone post the manual for the living area ceiling fan. Mine disappeared. Thanks
