Neither of the 4 or 6 way level up systems that we use should ever cause a problem with bending anything. They are designed to get your unit level
They are not designed to be a car, truck or fifth wheel service lift. If used to level the unit it will be perfect. The only times that I heard of issues were when some owners with Hydraulic level up systems used them as a way to lift one side or another for service under the frame. That I can assure you is not what they are deigned for.
We love the Electric level up and it's overall reliability.
Hope this cleared up some confusion
Chris

Thanks, Chris
Thanks, Chris, for clarifying. We love the Columbus so far from what we've seen. Quick question, I haven't seen any cut-a-away drawings of its construction in any the Columbus brochures or website like many of the other trailers on the market. Have I missed it somewhere?
Again, thanks for your posts to the many on here.

The four way works great on the 320RS also. It does shake and move when you move around inside, but the JT strong arms are supposed to work great and are available from the factory. Mine already had the mounting points welded when I bought it and will be ordering the stabilizers this week.

Six way auto level
The six way auto level is probably the best option I ordered. Would not be without it. The second thing was the bedroom air. As far as the heat pump, I don't no much about them in a camper, but we have one in our condo. The saying I have always heard is you live north of St. Louis, you should not have a heat pump. We live in Iowa and really have had no trouble, but we live on second floor and heat does rise.

Can I order the JT Strongarm stabilizers for my Columbus 320RS directly from FR? If so, what is the number to call ?

As a matter of fact I called them yesterday and asked the same question. Ross there at Columbus told me that they did not sell them outright and you could get them cheaper from someone else. My camper all ready has the brackets, I just need the stabilizers. The best price that I found on them was Tweetys, JT's Strong Arms Fifth Wheel and Travel Trailer stabilizers from tweetys.com I hope this answers your question.

I have a 385BH. The "Scare Light" bulb went out on our last trip. We have parked it for the winter. Anyone know how to remove the cover on the light?

Regarding the heat pump issue. We have front and rest ac. We have camped in the N GA mtns with temperatures at or below freezing. I too have always called heat pumps cold pumps. The propane heat works great to warm things up. Especially the bathroom. We use the heat pump to maintain the temperature.
We have left our unit set to 50° at all times during these winter months. The camper is comfortable when we have visited it. The heat pump does drain water at the back. This does cause a problem when the temperatures are in the teens and twenties and your camper is parked on a concrete floor. Those days we stay home where its nice and warm with gas heat.

Thin screwdriver and pry the cover off...
