Converter

Anyone out there with a 2014 Palomino Sabre 32RCTS (or close to that year) that might be able to tell me:

Where the converter is likely located and perhaps the type of converter I have? I checked my AIS sheet but it doesn't list the converter.

Thanks

Yep, usually behind the fuse/breaker panel.
And 10 to 1, it's probably a WFCO.

In a previous post someone mentioned that they doubted I had a single stage converter and thought it would be a multi. I guess the only way to really know is to pull the fuse panel and take a look? I am getting new batteries next month so might as well upgrade the converter if necessary.

Wf-9800 55 amp

Bikendan was correct. It is indeed a 3 stage charging converter. WF-9800 55 AMPs. Mine is installed under a step and a bear to get to. I have tried to take off the stair step to fix a squeak but never could get it off easily so never did. I imagine a loss of power will give me renewed incentive to get to the converter.

My guess is you're supposed to get to it by way of the basement hatch. On my Sabre, the rear wall of the basement has a portion that is 4 screws to remove and then it's a shimmy and slide to get to the area under the steps.

Maybe

I might be able to get it that way. That is how I go the model number. I would have to take off the vacuum hose and step heater hose which runs on top of the converter and I would be blind trying to get to the back screws. The opening to the under steps is not very wide. This thing is mounted just in front of my sub woofer. That said where there is a will there is a way. Good to know what I have at the minimum. Be nice if they let you know that stuff. A lot of things would be nice, but they will never do them.

Converter should come out the front of the fuse panel

No Way

Cannot even see it from there. I removed the distribution panel thinking that was where it was. Converter is off to the side under the step. You can get to it through the front storage by contorting your body behind the storage or taking out the step. No way through the panel. Not on my rig anyway. If I ever replace it I will move it.
