Question Need back-up camera info for Columbus 320

We just ordered a Columbus 320 and are contemplating getting a back up camera installed at the factory. My dealer had very little info.
Does anyone know what brand Palamino puts in? What type of camera? Size of monitor? Color or B&W? Do you get a clear picture on a 40' wireless system?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

never heard of a factory-installed backup camera system, on a 5th wheel.
is this a new option?
haven't seen it on the Columbus website.

As it's a Palomino option, you may have better luck asking in the Palomino forum.

I think there is an option. I found this thread that mentions it. Chris Columbus says its a Voyager. The palomino website is down right now so not able to check more.

Good luck with the rest of your question on it.

[I moved the thread to the Palomino subforum.]

I was told by my dealer rep that the system is a Voyager WVOS511. I will know more today when I pick up my new 32RS with it installed.

I am spending all too much time on this web site:

Backup Camera System | Wireless Back Up Camera

What an awesome selection. No, I can not recommend them (YET) as I have not decided on which one to buy.

The feedback on our optional backup camera has all been positive. Just another feature Columbus now offers. It can be added after market also. We are using a higher end one .

DW wants the backup camera and audio alert for her Buick.
This is going to be an expensive order...

Here is a link to a Trailer Life article about the back-up camera system that is now an option on Columbus:

www.TADIBROS.com was great to deal with. Very fast shipping and will work with you to get exactly the system you want. I got 5" screen w/dual input and can switch from rear of trailer to rear of truck. All I can say is it works just like it supposed to. Very happy.

Just go dig up a couple of cans and go get her a new one with it already installed. No pain, no strain and the nice lady deserves it!

Voyager Backup Camera

Picked up new 32RS yesterday with factory installed backup camera. Works great. Audio also works well.

Thanks for the pic!

I wonder why they chose to mount it below the light, instead of above... it seems to obscure the light a bit.

The lights need to be on to power the camera. The light on would blind the camera.

Ah. Good point. So you just turn on your running lights then.

Yes. The monitor plugs into 12v power on your dash.

I am picking up our columbus 385BH tomorrow with the camera installed. According to the manual it is an observation system with audio. Meaning you can see behind you while traveling down the road. Will check out the system tomorrow
