new door needed 383FB/lock failed
Anyone know where we can get a new door for our 2017 383FB Columbus? Our door lock broke, locking us out of the camper. Warranty company sent out two different towing companies apparently assuming that we had a motorhome even though I gave them the VIN and told them it was a 5th wheel. Anyways, first one just threw his hands up and left, the second one tried to get the door open but ended up using balloons to try and pry the door open. He didn't get it open either but he did manage to ruin our door. Warranty company says too bad, so sad. Towing company says, not my worry. RV insurance says sorry, this isn't covered under your policy. So now we're stuck trying to find a door that we can replace it, however ran into a road block there, they only sell to dealers and we don't really have one in our area that will work with us since they didn't sell us the camper. RED TAPE stinks. $$$$$

auto body shop.... they may be able to straighten things
hopefully without needing to paint anything

you can always try to straighten a door
using some temporary STRAIGHT timber framing , some wedges and clamps
Take things real slow and use plenty of wedges/shims to spread the force around.

I don't think that will help either. They really messed up the door and frame.

Contact FR and tell them you need them to put you in contact with a dealer who will work with you. I assume your selling dealer is nowhere close that you could have them help?

That's correct, the dealer we bought it from is in MA and we're in PA. I found a RV dealer that will order one in but he is not a Forest River dealer, so I am hoping it is the same door that we have on. This is so ridiculous that you can not get an FR dealer to work with you unless it is CW and I am not crazy about working with them given our past experience using the local service dealer.

Can't the dealer in MA order one for you?
They could have it shipped directly to you.

Put this in Google:
https://www.google.com/search?q=rv+s...s+pennsylvania
If you don't find it in Pennsylvania, try surrounding states. If you don't mind paying shipping, try the whole country.
If you're lucky, you can get matching paint.
Next time don't use that warranty company.

I had no problem finding a non-FR dealer to do warranty work, back in the day.
The current reality is that nationwide, RV dealerships are overwhelmed with all the warranty work they have to do on all the Covid Campers that were sold. They can't even keep up with the units they sold, let alone the ones they didn't sell.

I don't quite understand that statement. There are plenty of dealers that sell FR rigs that aren't CW.
Now if you bought it from a CW and have a warranty through CW, that's understandable. Have you actually contacted FR about where to find replacement parts?
We had trouble getting rv dealers to work on our rig when it was under warranty. Once we were out of warranty and paid out of pocket, the welcome mat came out.
Unfortunately, if you've got damage to the frame of the door, you might have a pretty expensive repair in the future unless you can do it yourself.

If your frame is bent
Buying another door won't solve your problem then?
you need to get BOTH straight again ...
a good body shop is experienced at doing this type of work...
OR
if you add a TEMPORARY 2x4 timber frame , clamp it on the frame
it allows you to easily force the frame back into place, using wedges or shims
After you straighten the frame you can work on the door.
you can do the same for the door ... use the temporary frame to help straighten it.
