I figure it was missing since the sticker is there saying one should be there and there is a notch for the rod. I hope it is just a easy fix and a handle will just screw in.

also i guess since this thread is titled dumb question here is one.

When i turn on my furnace the fan in the A/C unit turns on.... i think this is a wiring issue in my mind so i just flipped off the breaker for the A/C unit off... i wasnt sure if it was because you have to cycle through COOL before HEAT and the fan has a timed cycle and will turn off after... i didnt give it time to try it out just an idea i thought of.

Hep100- I don't remember the exact steps, but you have to set the fan to auto or something. This gets asked about 2 times per week on the forum. See if you can search up one of those threads (I would for you, but am on my phone).

I just wish I knew what the Sabre or Dometic factory or dealer were doing when they set these. It's so common and unwanted!

Set fan switch to auto NOT on .
Then all will be well.

Any luck figuring out what happened here?

Did you find out if the handle was missing. Every time I take off the rear cap I get flooded with blue water (Black). I was thinking the same thing that a handle was missing. I hope it is, but I only have one sticker in the back that says grey #3.
