Outdoor Speaker Question...

Greetings All! Hope everyone is doing well, and getting the chance to travel with their campers.

Question--Does anyone know how "deep" our walls are? The outdoor speakers on our 5-er have a lot of distortion at a relatively low volume. I'm shopping for an upgrade speaker, but don't want to buy anything too deep. And I definitely don't want to unmount one from the exterior wall just to measure without having the replacement ready to immediately take it's place.

Anyone already replace theirs?

Thanks folks, and safe travels!!
Greg

The walls are pretty thin, between an 1 1/4 and 1 1/2" maybe?
You can get a rough measurement on a window frame or the door frame, but it isn't much.

Yeah, after submitting the post, I put on my MacGyver hat and found a way to measure. Overall thickness is 1 7/8" on mine; then the face of the speaker sits out an extra 3/8". Looks like my options are going to be extremely limited...

One of those cheap Furion speakers were blown when we got our camper. I noticed that the one that worked sounded horrible. I bought Pyle replacements from Amazon. They sound night and day better and they worked fine in the wall.

Thanks Chris! I'll do some re-measuring and select the right size.
